The next issue of our magazine, Boyne Berries, will be launched on Thursday 30th September 2010. Submissions have now closed for this issue and the next, issue 9 - Spring 2011.

Congratulations to member Evan Costigan on being shortlisted for the Over The Edge New Writer of the Year Competition.
Congratulations to member Orla Fay who has a poem highly commended in the Windows Poetry Competition and who recently had a poem published in Ropes, the NUIG journal.
Congratulations to member Michael Farry whose poem Journey Back got second prize in the Goldsmith Poetry Competition 2010 and who has a poem published in the current issue of Revival, the Limerick poetry magazine.
Battle of the Books 2010
Congratulations to Meath Writers Circle on their victory in the Battle of the Books, the annual satire competition held in conjunction with the . Their team of Tommy Murray, Frank Murphy, Jimmy Peppard and Mark Doyle defeated the Boyne Writers team of Michael Farry, Barbara Flood, Caroline Finn and James Linnane by three points.
