A team of four Boyne Writers Group members will take part in the Battle of the Books, a public satire reading, against a team from Meath Writers Circle at the Swift Summer Night cabaret event in the Trim Castle Hotel, Trim on Sunday 5th July at 7.30pm. Trim Swift Festival website.

The third in our Boyne Readings & Open Mic series took place on Thursday 18 June in Knightsbridge Village Hall, Longwood Road, Trim. The readers were well-known Trim poet Tommy Murray and George Briscoe Master of the Tara Harriers for over 65 seasons who has published a memoir The Best of Times-Memoirs of a Countryman. The Readings and Open Mic are taking a break for the summer and will resume in the autumn.
